Schools in the area are actually closed today because of the extremely frigid temperatures. So we are holed up inside trying to stay warm. Just looking outside makes me cold and our old house has old, leaky windows, so when you walk by them you can feel the cold air seeping in. On the inside (yes, the inside) of our bathroom window, there is ice. Ty was saying that going out in this cold actually makes him angry and I can understand why. When will it end????
On lighter news, I am quite excited that the Super Bowl was last night and marked the end of the football season. I was reminded that it will be short-lived with the draft occurring in the spring, but I am thankful for the break and I rather enjoy watching March Madness.

I have double sadness that the Super Bowl is over and that it is basketball season (oh, my poor Bears), but at least one of us is always content with whatever sport the guys make us watch on the weekends!

My friend Karen wrote that she had ice inside her window as well. She even posted pictures. CRAZY!

i, too, am happy to no longer be a football season widow (ok, it really wasn't that bad... well, maybe fantasty football is... ). i must admit, though, that i was getting into it by the end--because it was chicago--and i was sad to see them lose.
oh, and by the way, ikea and settlers sounds marvelous. we'll have to see what we can work out.
the bears were in the Super Bowl? actually, i did know that but i just have no love for the game. as for the cold, i have not gone anywhere today and have bundled up in lots of clothes. i can't take it for much longer. if only i could hibernate!
